My second round of story-line updates has been completed! Moving over the summer combined with the stresses of getting our old house ready to sell definitely put a damper on the progress, but with that out of the way I've been moving through the edits eagerly.

In response to the suggestions from my editor of the first draft I've adde a couple of point of view characters throughout the book, and I feel like their stories really help fill in some of the gaps. With their additions and some slight tweaks to the background of the story, I went through the rest of the book to ensure everything aligned and made sense. This resulted in some chapters getting split as more detail was added, others cutting cut apart entirely and their contents added in where it made more sense. I'm pretty satisfied with the end results, but I still plan on giving the entire book another read through to catch anything I might have missed. From there it will be off to the professional editors proper to ensure its meeting the high standards that I am setting myself for its publication! I hope to have this sent off sometime within the next month, and anticipate at least a couple of months for the editors to do their work and get back to me.

In the meantime I'll be working on some marketing strategies for release in the Spring, as well as finding ways to grow my skills as a writer. I plan on tackling some short story writing once a week after the new year and will likely have those up on the website here. I'll likely limit the news items on the website here to dropping only when something of interest has occurred, but I would expect those to pick up more as we get closer to release.

I'll be on the lookout for early readers next Spring, so stay tuned and drop me a line if you're interested! Ad Astra Per Constantia et Somnia - Strix
