I've been traveling for work this week and had the pleasure of experiencing the Bend, Oregon area. Quite lovely views of the mountains, friendly people, and lots of fun, twisty roads though I regret being limited to a very basic rental car to experience those with.

In between work and exploring the surrounding areas, I did manage to get a new editor locked down for my book. I should have the manuscript back from them by May 22nd, if not a tad earlier. They've also agreed to give me regular status updates, so it seems the communication should already be much better this time around!

With the downtime during May I intend to finish up outlining and world building for Book 2, and get the first few pages started. I'm excited to dive into the expanding universe for these stories, with new characters and a new world to explore! Tomorrow I'll be traveling back home, getting lots of reading done at the airports no doubt! Until next week, I'll leave off with a selfie at Smith Rock State Park. It may be hard to tell from my expression, but hiking down to this location and taking in the amazing views and listening to the rush of the river was so restorative. May we all find something similar to center ourselves in these trying times. Ad Astra Per Constantia et Somnia - Strix
