Act 1 editing is a wrap! With three chapters added, things are comping together quite nicely. I anticipate adding at least a couple new chapters to each of the remaining acts, so the book is definitely growing a bit, but it will be a much richer story for it in the end I think.

In other exciting news, I got a glimpse at some of the first sketches for artwork that will be going into the book tonight! This also means that the cover art is right around the corner, so I'm trying not to bounce out of my chair too much!

While I'm not editing, I've been looking into ways to keep improving my writing skills. This has included listening to interviews from authors I admire, and keeping an eye out for writing classes that I can take online. This lead me to pick up Stephen King's "On Writing" which has been a great read so far. Its encouraging that I feel I already have many of the 'toolbox' skills he recommends, and I am picking up some ways to hone my writing further.

Now, I just need to finish this book and have it do even half as well as "Carrie" did for Mr. King!
