Murphy's Law seems to be the theme for last week! My beta reader had a run of bad luck and wound up being a week behind, so hopefully I'll be getting the manuscript back THIS Friday now. I wound up with a double ear infection randomly, no cold like symtpoms beforehand. I ordered some bookmark style business cards and received someone ELSE'S business cards instead (thankfully the company gave me a refund and a discount for the trouble, hopefully round 2 will go better!) And then my mower tire lost air pressure and came off the rim... though that one is definitely on me for assuming it still had air, woops!

Hopefully that concludes the string of mildly unfortunate events and I can dive into finishing up the first book this weekend! Another thing I am looking forward to is resuming my volunteer work with the Iowa Science Center this year. I've been helping them with their telescopes at events they put on, and it is always such a joy to see people seeing the wonders of the universe with their own eyes, often for the first time! If you're in Iowa, you can check out the Science Center's calendar of activities for the next star party and odds are good I'll see you there.
